STRIVE Network

The STRIVE network was established in 2022 in recognition of the need for a sustainable highly trained global clinical trials network prepared to conduct rigorous clinical trials evaluating therapies for pathogens able to cause infectious emergencies.
The network was developed in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and building on 30 years of sustained global clinical research in HIV and influenza within the INSIGHT network.
Bringing together 9 international coordinating centres across 6 continents, 40 countries, and over 300 clinical trial sites and deep involvement from low- and middle-income countries, STRIVE addresses a critical gap in the global trial eco-system. STRIVE is a network capable of designing, implementing, and delivering the highest quality clinical research, from observational studies through randomised trials of novel investigational or re-purposed agents, as well as strategies using established interventions, across a diverse global consortium.
STRIVE aims
• To conduct clinical research to the highest ethical and quality standards, using innovative approaches, producing outcomes that are reliable, rigorous, and impactful.
• To respond rapidly and effectively to emerging infectious disease threats
• To collaborate with diverse stakeholders and organizations and include communities to ensure our research has transformative impact on care.
