WHO CC on HIV and Viral Hepatitis
 

On 16 July 2013, CHIP became a WHO Regional Office Collaborating Centre (CC). WHO collaborating centres are institutions such as research institutes, parts of universities or academies, which are designated by the Director-General to carry out activities in support of WHO's programmes.

WHO CC Terms of Reference:

  • To assist in dissemination and promotion of WHO HIV, HIV/TB co-infection and viral hepatitis guidelines, policies and relevant documents among the professional societies.
  • To assist WHO in strengthening the capacities in addressing HIV, HIV/TB co-infection and viral hepatitis in the countries of central and Eastern Europe and central Asia (CEECA).
  • To collaborate with WHO on evidence-based development and research capacity building of the countries of central and Eastern Europe and central Asia (CEECA) in HIV, HIV/TB co-infection and viral hepatitis.
